The agency was founded in 2003 by John T. Page, President, a former Vice President of a top ten, national surety company with nearly 20 years of surety bond experience. John has a degree in Finance from Temple University in Philadelphia and an MBA from the University of San Francisco.

Barry Page, Chief Operating Officer joined the Surety 1 team in September of 2004. Barry manages the day to day operations of Surety 1 with a primary focus on Contract Surety and account development. Barry has fifteen years experience in the area of business analysis and strategic planning. Before joining the team at Surety Solutions as Vice President he was an executive with a fortune 500 company. Barry holds a law degree as well as an MBA from the University of Phoenix.

Amy E. Johnston, Contract Account Manager, has been with Surety Solutions since January 2010. She is responsible for maintaining current contract accounts, conducting financial analysis to determine bond eligibility, and writing contract bonds. She also researches and writes the newsletter Construction Quarterly while assisting with the marketing strategies for Surety Solutions. Amy graduated Sum Cum Laude from the University of California, Irvine with a degree in Business Economics and Accounting and she is hoping to continue her education in an MBA program in the future.

Brenna Page, Commercial Surety Specialist, has been on the Surety Solutions team since 2007. Her foremost responsibility is customer service to commercial surety bond clients. Brenna processes new applications, quotes premiums, and writes commercial bonds. She frequently works with wine bonds and is very familiar with the industry but has expansive knowledge of all bond markets. She also handles bonds renewals and cancellations, and is becoming involved with the insurance department of Surety Solutions. Brenna is hoping to study business and accounting at Golden Gate University to advance her career at Surety Solutions.

Patrick Fillmore, Commercial Surety Specialist, has been with the Surety Solutions team since 2007. As a key person for the commercial department he is responsible for maintaining commercial accounts, writing commercial bonds, and documenting market rates to enable the commercial personnel to give fast accurate quotes. He also manages several agents with multiple accounts, processes applications and trains new employees within the commercial department. Patrick has an Associate’s Degree in Information Technology and is currently studying accounting at American River College to further his career within Surety Solutions.

Christine Boscacci, Commercial Customer Service Representative, has been with the Surety Solutions team since March 2009. As a key person in the commercial department, her primary responsibilities include processing new applications, giving precise quotes, and writing commercial bonds. She also works with insurance agents for various bond markets, manages high risk accounts and trains new employees within the commercial department. Christine graduated from CSU Sacramento in May 2008 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Finance and Entrepreneurship.

Jonathan Duarte, Commercial Customer Service Representative, has been with Surety Solutions since December 2009. He is in charge of processing commercial applications, giving prompt quotes, and writing commercial bonds. Jonathan also handles high risk accounts, interacts with insurance agents, and responds to customer inquiries regarding their current account. Jonathan currently holds a real estate license and previously worked as a mortgage broker.

Erin Tumacder, Administrative Assistant for Surety Solutions since August 2009. She supports the commercial and contracts departments of the company by handling bond renewals and cancellations, processes bond riders, and general administrative tasks. She facilitates the accounting personnel by maintaining the accounts receivable balance, and she is involved in the marketing for Surety Solutions through creating contact lists. Erin moved from Colorado in 2006 and is currently pursuing a career in teaching.

Tara Page, Financial Services Officer, has been with Surety Solutions since 2003.  Tara handles the billing and invoicing for Surety Solutions MGU premiums.  She also takes care of all necessary company licensing requirements and conducts status reports for all contract bonds.  Tara previously worked in Health Insurance as a liaison between doctors and the managed care companies.  She is also a Certified Spin instructor and active aerobics teacher at a local health club.
